About the program

Joint Effort For Young People in Crisis Through Building the Culture of Entrepreneurship and Invention.

The first time that ЗMIN met and cooperated with the Ternopil Regional Development Agency was in 2022, as part of the Grant Program 2022.

The goal of the START UP project is to facilitate socialization and rehabilitation for children of combatants and children who lost their parents during the war with the Russian Federation, through joint meetings and career guidance training.

Participants attended a 30 sessions course in three subjects: Business Basics, Business English, and IT technologies. We had a chance to visit 5 enterprises in Ternopil region to learn practical business development skills. In addition, we took part in 4 master classes from leading investors from Ukraine.

During the course, students of the Startup Business School were put into two groups to develop two business ideas. They suggested an anti-café for young people, with an anger room, and a café with a pet hotel. These ideas are highly relevant for Ternopil residents, since no similar places are available.

The focus of this year's iteration of the school is self-development in software technologies. Participants will take a course in three subjects: Basics of 3D Printing, Programming, and Basics of Fashion Design.

Changes brought by the project

  • Socialization and rehabilitation for children of combatants
  • Career guidance for adolescents
  • Promotion of science
  • Development of the culture of entrepreneurship from school age

The final outcome of the training will be a finished physical 3D model of the An-225 Mriya aircraft. It combines the knowledge, skills, and abilities acquired in the classroom to prepare for printing after processing the 3D print technologies.
